The mission of the Community Dental Center is to improve access to quality oral health care services targeted toward low income, uninsured, underinsured and Medicaid-eligible populations throughout central Maine.
Why are we here?
Too many Maine residents have trouble getting and paying for the dental care they need.
Access to dental care is critical for good community health.
Tooth decay, a preventable problem, is the number one disease of childhood
Dental disease is the top reason for Emergency Room visits in teens and adults 15-44 years of age who are uninsured or on MaineCare.
Poor oral health is associated with chronic medical problems including diabetes, heart disease, cancer, stroke, and pregnancy complications.
